During our many journeys to early medieval reenactment events, when fall evenings turned cold,
rain was falling, and the wind howled through our camp, we often found ourselves putting on hoods,
reconstructed from the Skjoldehamn and Hedeby finds, over our “civilian” clothes.
With each gust of wind and every drop of rain, we realized that these ancient designs,
made from naturally water-resistant wool, protected us from the cold and wet far better than any modern garment.
These hoods weren’t just practical – they made us feel connected to the past, offering warmth and a sense of belonging.

It was this experience that inspired us to create hoods for everyone, allowing people to benefit
from the warmth and protection of ancient designs without needing to participate in reenactments.
Our woolen hoods, based on 1000-year-old patterns, are crafted for both comfort and functionality.
They serve as both a hat and a scarf, especially excelling as scarves that block cold, wet winds.
Each hood is adorned with a leather tag featuring our logo, inspired by the era we’ve come to love.
